As this ship start feeling as my second home, I start knowing the crew onboard and start knowing the ship inside and out. Ones working onboard, you have to start the safety trainings: all crew have regularly safety trainings, including evacuation procedures, handling emergencies, how to handle a fire and CPR course are mandatory and how to assist guests incase of an emergency. Every crew member has a task in the emergency plan from the ship and thats why we practice regularly by conduction boat drills weekly.
My first contract was in Europe starting UK/Scotland/Ireland and Scandinavia and the Capitols of the North. Some tips: about what to do and see in Scandinavia and the Capitols of the North:
In Copenhagen, the ship was docked very close to Den Lille Havfrue (the little mermaid). It is much smaller than you think, but a must see. The centre is very nice as must see, we rented some bikes as Copenhagen is a biking city easy to bike from the ship to the centre. On the main square is Tivoli an amusement park and Nyhavn is very close by, it is a nice place by the canal with bars and nice restaurants, very cute and charming. The Strøget is one of the longest shopping streets in Europe, The Royal Palace is called Amalienborg.

In Stockholm, the city is built on 14 islands. I have been to the Abba museum, The Royal Palace, The Vasa was a warship, Gröna Lund is a nice amusement park. Here you can also bike around the city. When going to Stockholm by ship, you will cruise between thousands of islands and some are really tiny and even people living there. It is very impressive.

Oslo and Helsinki where not so nice as the above mentioned cities, but St. Petersburg was amazing, simply because it was so different from other cities.
They do have canals, would recommand a boattour and a visit to the Hermitage for sure. Just walking around the city is amazing to watch the contruction of the buildings. In St. Petersburg we always had overnights, which is the best for the crew, you always have a chance to see the gorgious cities and going out in the night with the locals. The ship is not really in the centre, buses were taking the passengers and crew to the city centre.

The Fjords cruises are amazing, it's all about the beauty of the nature, same as an Alaskan cruise. Geiranger, Sognefjord, Flam are places the cruise ship will cruise and afcourse going to Geiranger you will pass the Seven sisters one of the wonders of the world (Seven waterfalls). According to legend, the Seven Sisters represent seven young women who were courted by a suitor across the fjord (the Suitor Waterfall) is waterfall across from the seven sisters, but they all refused him. The Bridal Veil is said to be the veil that the suitor had prepared for his bride.
